A Christian movie producer, Pastor Johnson Odesola, has advised youths interested in acting to acquire university education before going into it.
He said this during the unveiling of his new movie, ‘Scars of joy.’
The movie was premiered at Silverbird Galleria, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, recently.
Odesola, who is also the Assistant General Overseer, Administration and Personnel, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, emphasised the need to take the profession to the next level.
The new movie, which was shot in the country and the United Kingdom, was directed by Jonathan Seun.
It is the second in recent times by the minister.
Members of the public were allowed to view the Christian movie free of charge.
Gospel ministers, Christian movie actors, and top leaders of the RCCG were among the dignitaries at the event.
The movie has its root in Biblical values that include the principles of forgiveness and perseverance, while capturing the agony of desperation of a sterile couple who wanted children at all cost.
It also emphasised the influence of wrong association and the importance of not despising human beings regardless of physical disability.
Remarking on the film, Odesola said, “From the development here today, the youths can take anything over. Some are already saying they want to become actors. That’s why we encourage them to go back to school to acquire the skill. With what we have done today and will continually do, once the youths catch the vision, it will be done.”punch
