The Yoruba movie industry is undoubtedly becoming a big brand in Nollywood. Some of their stars are now movers and shakers of the Nigerian film industry. One cannot forget the huge influence actresses like Funke Akindele, Toyin Aimakhu, Iyabo Ojo and others have in the industry.
One actress many have tipped to rule the industry in 2016 is Olusola Idowu, who is currently a toast of filmmakers.
Again, talking about those who make things happen in the industry, Idowu Olushola will definitely be in the front-line.
The Ogun state-born star in the making has been making statement in the industry since she joined in 2005. Before then, she began her training from her boss Ganiyu Quadri. For her, Liz-benson has been a mentor and a source of inspiration before she ventured into it a couple of years ago.
Education for her started from Omololu Nursery School and she later went to Wright Memorial Primary School, Shomolu Lagos. Her secondary school was Shepherdhill Girls High School, Obanikoro Lagos before she was admitted to Lagos State Polytechnic to do Business Studies in 2007.
She got into acting via Honey Entertainment Caucus owned by Ganiyu Quadri in 2005. Her first appearance on screen was in a movie entitled Oloja Eye. She has featured in several movies including Talokan, Faderera Mi, Olefo, Aiye Apare, Ojukale, Eku ati Ologbon and many more. She recently shot her debut movie Pele (Sorry). Sola is definitely one actress you need to watch out for in 2016.
