After the successful conclusion of the exciting regional auditions of the number one family dance show in Nigeria, Maltina Dance All season eight (MDA8), tagged ‘Rhythm of Happiness,’ the show is set to hit television screens across the nation and beyond this Sunday, September 7, 2014.
13 out of the 28 family representatives that were selected during the regional audition were able to qualify their families for the show. The number would be further reduced to 10 families who will eventually be admitted into the MDA academy after the pre grand audition show, stated a press statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng.

The MDA, which has over the past eight years attracted followers keen at following the fun, thrills, turns and twist of the show will be getting the best from the families as it airs on AIT (7-8pm) daily, Silverbird TV (9-10 pm) and Ebony Live TV (7pm) weekdays and (8.30pm) weekends, while the grand finale would be live on AIT and Africa Magic channels on DSTV. Viewers who miss any edition can still catch all the action on YouTube, Facebook and the Maltina Website.

Scaling through the tough challenge at the regional audition in Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos are theUnaka, Odigie, Ezekiel, Maisamari, Williams, Utere, Dide, Uzodinma, Leornard, Nwaeze, Oladapo, Abunwa and Awokoya families. They all passed the necessary medical and other screening procedures andwere deemed fit to competeas they march toward the academy.

The sum of N10million is at stake in this season’s competition. The first and second runners-up will take home N3million and N1million respectively.

It would be recalled that the preparation for the MDA8 kicked off with an electrifying performance by the Maltina all-stars’ team which comprised past participants of the show, while host Osas Ighodaro alongside popular comedians, Gbenga Adeyinka and Laffup introduced the “Rhythm of Happiness Dance” (RODH) to the audience that were held spellbound by the vitality and creativity which has set the show apart from others.

From all indications it is expected that MDA8 “Rhythm of Happiness” will excite, entertain and enliven the family space more than the TV audience would ever anticipate. Evidently, the stakes are higher, dance instructors are ready to go and the Maltina brand is determined to enhance national family bond through the viable instrument of music and dance theatrics
