Tricia Eseigbe's Psychologist Project gets special award from Benue First Lady

Hard work does not only pay, but also affords you the opportunity to dine and wine with the high and mighty.
For her many great and positive works towards making the society a better place, the First Lady of Benue State, Mrs. Yemisi Suswam recently presented Tricia Eseigbe Kerry with a Special Award of Excellence.
The award, which the first lady presented to the leading entertainer on behalf of the people of Benue State, SHOWBIZPLUSng learnt was in recognition of Mrs. Kerry’s fight against child sexual abuse in Nigeria.



Also present at the special award recognition ceremony was the Benue State’s Commissioner of Police, Adams Audu, who represented the Nigeria Police force.
Audu was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Raula Audu.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Mrs. Elizabeth Allagh also graced the historic event.
 Mrs. Suswam while presenting the award stated, it’s bad enough to have a generation that is morally bankrupt and even worse to sow a seed of bitterness and pollution in the next generation.
She further urged parents, police and law makers to join hands with The Psychologist to criminalize and eradicate child sexual abuse in Nigeria.

 Mrs. Suswam also commended the Nigeria police force’s partnership with The Psychologist team and encouraged them to continue the wonderful works they have been doing on security in Benue State.

While accepting the award, elated Mrs. Kerry, thanked the state government and people of the state for the love and wonderful reception she got.
She also encouraged victims of child sexual abuse to stay positive in the fight against the evil act, believing justice will surely come to them some day. She also called on the people across the country to visit the psychologist website www.boldfaces.org to report any case of child abuse or molestation.




Meanwhile, Mrs. Kerry’s child sexual abuse, protection and advocacy project “The Psychologist On The Move” was launched last year.  
The Psychologist is a nationwide (covering 36 states) public awareness campaign programme on Child Sexual Abuse.
Kerry, a well celebrated Nollywood star decided to address and enlighten our communities about pedophiles and ways to prevent the sexual abuse of children and also to encourage victims of child sexual abuse to come out and tell their stories.

For several months now the psychologist on the move team has been touring the country, creating awareness and winning accolades and trophies.
