GIFT talent hunt show gets Nollywood endorsements

Omeje

Ahead of President Goodluck Jonathan re-election bid for 2015, SHOWBIZPLUSng can authoritatively report that some leading Nollywood actors and stakeholders including Ejike Asiegbu, Emeka Rollas, Bishop Ime Umoh, Millicent Jack, Steve Eboh, Chinyere Wilfred among others have all given their blessings and support to a frontline pro-Jonathan organisation known as Goodluck Initiative For Transformation (GIFT) 2015.
Geared towards harnessing young Nigerian youths with talents in music, dance and drama, GIFT has launched a special reality TV show tagged GIFT Talent Hunt Show- a programme that promises to showcase them to the world, challenge them on issues regarding good governance, leadership and empower them to excel internationally.
Speaking at an international press conference in Abuja to formally unveil the programme, Director of Planning and Strategy, Barr. Emmanuel Omeje said the reality show promises to be like none ever seen before by Nigerian audiences. Omeje also believes it will create a platform where young Nigerian youths can be appreciated and respected more globally because of their unique talents.

"In continuation of our promise to Nigerian youths that we will create platforms that will empower and celebrate their uniqueness just like President Jonathan has shown through his transformative policies that his vision is to get youths more involved in decision making in all key sectors of our economy, we have packaged this reality show to bring together young Nigerians from all corners of the country and in the Diaspora who have unique talents in the arts so we can celebrate these talents, build them into true ambassadors of this great nation through mentorship schedules and tasks by professionals, and help them create brands that will speak volumes about how unique we are as a people."
The reality show which kicks-off in September with zonal auditions from which 30 finalists will be selected and housed in a yet to be disclosed facility known as the GIFT Villa, is expected to produce winners by the end of the show in October, who will cart away a whooping N100 million worth of prizes and benefits.
Elaborating further on the uniqueness of the programme, Omeje said arrangements had already been finalised with a renowned British media company who will launch a special package that will enable Nigerians view daily events in the house on their smartphones at no cost, while their South African partners are currently in Nigeria to add more content value to the programme.
On what to expect when the show starts, Omeje said finalists would be made to undergo various tasks which will not only test their talents but also challenge them into becoming better decision makers and great Nigerian ambassadors. Also that while in the house, various celebrities, serving state governors, legislators and global Nigerian entrepreneurs will visit the housemates to have one-on-one sessions with them, with lots of twists and unexpected surprises waiting for everyone.
Registration for the show has already begun online for the programme and it would end on September 20, while auditions will start in the same month. Prizes to be won include brand new cars, cash, sponsored trips to South Africa, media contracts with international brands, free branded gifts and lots more.
