Kinabuti, recently launched a new collection of T‐shirts
from its Kbuti label. According to a press statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng, the event
which hosted loads of friends and clients to a variety of
food, drinks and music, showcased the
T‐shirts which were printed specially for the Kbuti label
as part of its social project by the
Youths of Orile Iganmu community, Lagos and KFI.
KFI and Thea Kuta, over the course of four weeks partnered
to train and graduate 14 male and
female youths from Orile Igamu community in Lagos on a
silkscreen production and design
workshop.
The workshop solely tutored by Thea Kuta, primarily
focused on teaching the art of silkscreen
production using simple, affordable, locally sourced
materials. A practical example of how art
and passion can be used as a vehicle to inspire and
empower people and make a positive
impact. The vision exclusively is to teach a profession,
activate the potential capacity of the
youths, and give power to private artisanship.
The workshop, which culminated with a graduation ceremony
held on March 15, had in
attendance the European Union Trade Counselor, Mr. Massimo
De Luca. Also present at the
ceremony was Managing Director Kaymu, Mr. Massimiliano
Sparazzi who offered to give the
graduates an online training course on online distribution
and marketing to give them the
opportunity
to access a larger market and be more profitable.
