Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has applauded the team behind the creation of a TV reality competition called Gospel Music Africa, Led by Mr. Matthew Obono, saying it will be a veritable platform through which talents will be discovered, harnessed for empowerment of youth.
Prince Madumere made this remark during the official unveiling ceremony of Gospel Music Africa, a TV reality show that is about to take Nigerian screens and Africa at large by storm at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos last Weekend.
The number two citizen of Imo State eulogized the Project Director, Mr. Matthew Obono of the Gospel Music talent hunting show for his effort describing the programme as a well thought out piece of creative work.
He averred that the programme will serve as a vehicle through which message of hope, unity and good morals will be communicated to the people.
Prince Madumere also used the forum to also call on the Governments, captains of Industries and Corporate bodies to support the project since it will also create employment for teeming unemployed youth who are expected to be self employed.
He therefore assured the Project Director of Imo State Government readiness to play a leading role to achieve the desired expected result.
The event witnessed the presence of Hon.Gaza Jonathan, member representing Karu/Keffi Fed. Constituency, Rev. Onifade rep CAN President, Engr. David Wuyep, Comm. for Water Resources Plateau State rep. Gov. Lalong of Plateau State.
Explaining the motif behind the birth of the Gospel Music Africa, the Project Director, Mr. Matthew Obono said the event was basically to ensure that those who took to gospel music are properly groomed and encouraged since the message therein is of good morals and will help already unfortunate be

He narrated of a pathetic experience of a friend who was rejected during a TV reality show sometime in the past because he insisted in doing gospel songs. He said that experienced traumatized him and promised his God he shall definitely come up with a platform to cater for such talents.
For Felix Offou, a Media Mogul, he praised the idea, saying the content of communication is everything. He called on the public to support such creative ideas because of its positive impact on the Nigerian establishment and its image at the world stage.
The atmosphere was charged with gospel lyrics coming from a retinue of artistes led by Joe Praise among other budding Gospel artistes who were on ground to showcase their talents.
Others who put in appearance are the Togolese and Ghanians with their crews as well who cannot wait to go into the competition even as they all hail the forthcoming TV reality show.
