Multi talented entertainer and talk show host, Gbadewonuola Olateju Oyelakin famously known as Teju Babyface has finally dumped standup comedy for good.
In an exclusive chat with DAYLIGHT.NG, the creator and presenter of the popular The Teju Baby Face show, said he has completely dumped standup comedy in order to concentrate all his energy on the brand new episode of his ubiquitous show.
The revitalized and rebranded new series, in the words of Teju, a university of Lagos graduate, premieres tomorrow, June 9, nationwide amid applause and aplomb.
“The decision to quit standup comedy is not religious or personal. It is purely a destiny decision. Recently, I got a mouth watering offer of close to a million Naira to come do comedy at an event, but I turned it down. I want to concentrate all my energy and time on The Teju Baby Face show. That era of standup comedy in my life is over. In fact, old things shall pass away”, he told Daylight.ng .
