Another honour has come the way of newly elected Lagos State chapter chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Victor Osuagwu.
The amiable and popular thespian has been unanimously chosen as
the recipient of the O’Jez Entertainment Forum (OEF) award holding on Sunday,
August 25 at the celebrity hangout tucked inside the National Stadium,
Surulere, Lagos, beginning from 7pm.
Boss of the outfit, Joseph Odobeatu in a chat said Osuagwu
has made his mark as an actor for over a decade now, adding that the industry
was not surprised he decided to run for an elective office. “When the news came
in that he won, many of us were not surprised either. The award is our own way
of encouraging him to also leave his foot prints on the sand of time as far as
AGN-Lagos is concerned.”
The revered comedy actor in his acceptance letter thanked the
organizers for deeming it fit to host him. He equally promised to move Lagos
AGN to the next level.
Sensational comedians, Elder O, MC Shakara, Elenu and some
musicians will take turns to thrill the large gathering of Nollywood stars and
practitioners gracing the event.
