He believes that the anti-corruption agency itself is also corrupt
The rain-maker singer says officials of the EFCC themselves should be investigated for corruption
Popular Nigerian reggae music legend Majek Fashek has shared his opinion concerning the Nigerian law enforcement agency, EFCC and its operations.
Speaking with NAIJ.com on the red carpet at the AY Live comedy show which held on Sunday, April 16, Majek revealed his take on the latest whistleblowing trend in the county.
According to him, the agency should be investigated thoroughly. He stated that the operating officers need to explain what they do with all funds that it has recovered since its inception.
In his words, "EFCC is corrupt, where is the money they are seizing, Its against the law and they are corrupt. They have investigate them."
Meanwhile, Senate President Bukola Saraki has decried the way the EFCC has been handling the recovery of N13.3 billion from an apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos.
NAIJ.com recalls that in 2015, it was revealed that Fashek was bankrupt and battling drug addiction. After admitting that he needed help, he was admitted into a drug rehabilitation centre in Abuja where he was stabilized. Majek has since recovered and he is back to making music. naij.com
