It’s official people. This is not a drill! Davido’s sophomore album, Son Of Mercy, looks like it might be dropping this year after all. Actually it might be in a couple of weeks.
The Aye crooner, who signed a million dollar deal with Sony BMG in January of this year, made the announcement via his Instagram page. The album will be out for pre order this Friday, September 30th, 2016.
It’s been a long road for Davido this year, as he’s not released any official single or video since signing the deal. However we do know a single featuring Tinashe is in the works, and a video has been completed for it. Other artist he’s collaborated with (though yet to be released) include Rae Schmurd and Young Thug. However he launched his new label, Davido Music Worldwide and has kick started the careers of Dremo and Mayorkun, who are signed to his label.
In 2015 Davido had some of the biggest hits in Nigeria, including Fans Mi, The Money and Dodo...Jaguda
