Born in Lagos, Nigeria Joke Silva attended the Holy Child College in Lagos, and studied English at the University of Lagos.
When she moved to England she studied Drama at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
Married to Nollywood veteran actor Olu Jacobs with two kids, Joke Silva has starred in several Nigerian movies such as The Amazing Grace, Widow's Cot, For Coloured Girls, and several others. Joke Silva is one of the few actresses in Nigeria that acts in both Yoruba and English movies.
