Peejay drops Pronto, says his look-alike Tuface, inspires him

Peejay

Youthful and hugely talented Edozie Peter Chigozie who is famously known as Peejay is unarguably one of the new acts rocking the Nigerian music scene with his hit single- Pronto.
In a chat with SHOWBIZPLUSng, the handsome hip hop act who shares a striking resemblance with top Nigerian music star, Tuface Idibia, disclosed that inspiration from mentors like Idibia would surely spur him to greater heights in the saturated industry.
“Yes, the music industry is saturated, but if you have what the fans want, you’d surely succeed. And I, Peejay has all it takes musically to rule the industry. Tuface has always remained a huge influence in my career and I want to follow his footsteps career wise.”

The budding artiste, who is currently signed to MEI Continental Records, is equally excited his recently released hot single, Pronto, is making waves and rocking the airwaves.
"Pronto is a song every music lover would love to listen to and appreciate. It has soothing lyrics and good beats to make you nod and head to the dance floor. It's a song beckoning on all the ladies to follow me Pronto. We are storming South Africa soon to shoot the international music video of this great work”, he squealed.
Born on July 10, 1991 , Peejay, just like some others started his music career in the choir of his church, but officially took it to the next level in 2010.
His fledging career officially kicked off with Serengeti Records alongside Godwon and Joshbeatz as his label mates.
The Anambra State-born multi-talented singer does different kinds of music, ranging from RnB to Pop, Highlife, Afro Pop and Dancehall.
According to him, "Music is expression and expression has no limit".
He has also worked with leading names such as OJB Jezreel, Dr. Frabz, Hakym the dream, Eclipse, the late Dagrin among others, in his quest to better his career.
"It would be a very big achievement for me to get Tuface Idibia to feature in my songs. He is my mentor. I have actually seen him before and he spoke to me like a father. He gave me advice that would last me a life time.”

Shedding more light on his relationship with the opposite sex, he had this to say.
“Yeah! I love ladies a lot and they tend to like me a lot too. But painfully I don't have a girlfriend now. I am facing my career fully to avoid distractions."
Aside music, Peejay has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from UNN and is a prolific writer. He has written and recorded more than 50 songs as an enterprising and hard working act.
