One Year after: More tears for Goldie

Goldie
Unlike millions all over the world who recently celebrated lovers’ day, friends and loved ones of Susan Adebimpe Filani Harvey famously known as Goldie will be sober. A year ago, February 14, the Ondo State-born diva tragically slumped to her death in Lagos.
The late singer who is known for hits such as Don’t Touch My Body, Jawo Jawo, Gboko Lowo E among others would have been 32 years old by October 23. We capture how she is being remembered by her closest friends and colleagues via tributes.

Kennis Music
As at press time, there were no signs of any ceremony to mark the late singer’s one year remembrance by her music label. All efforts to reach label executives, Kenny Ogungbe and Dayo Adeneye proved abortive.
The no-show position from the music label has put-paid to rumour that the label fed fat on the singer’s music career. Grapevine sources believe that the late Goldie coughed out huge sums of money to persuade Kennis Music to front her music career.

Jaywon
One of the late singer’s ‘Best Friend Forever’ (BFF) last month shot a video entitled Remembered as a sequel to a single of same title. According to the O Madantin and This Year crooner, it was a modest way to celebrate the life of someone who was a confidant and close friend.

Denrele Edun
It is still debatable if anyone else was hard hit with Goldie’s death apart from the maverick red carpet TV host. Denrele Edun has virtually lived the past 365 days in the shadow of his soul mate and BFF. If he is not writing a poem about Goldie, you would catch him on a red carpet rocking the one of the late singer’s old pair shoes or dresses. If his twitter Avatar is a reflection of his mind, Goldie’s picture has been etched there for what may seem like forever.

Andrew Harvey
Apparently, the British hubby of the late singer has literally moved on with his live after the singer’s death. Not many knew of his relationship with the late songstress until after her death. Barely seven months after her death, a report emerged of a secret engagement between Andrew and a white-lover whom he has been flaunting on his facebook profile.
