The nationwide tour embarked by Modelslink
International recently came to a breathtaking end as 15-year-old Myever
Akinleye, Elvis Ikpa grabbed the coveted Best Model Nigeria 2014 crowns, after
defeating over one thousand models across the country.
According to the organizers, while
Myever and Elvis will be representing Nigeria at Best Model of the World
modeling contest in Istanbul, Turkey in November 2014, Stephanie Umogbai and
Adedamola Cruz Adebowale who emerged Face of the World Nigeria 2014 will also
represent Nigeria at the Face of The World International in the United Kingdom
in March 2015.
“Best Model Nigeria is an annual
modeling contest for male and female models with a core objective to provide a
platform to promote Nigerian models, position the models for international
modeling opportunities, building credible, trusted and honest brand ambassadors
that will give greater visibility to brand products, and promote Nigeria's rich
cultural and tourism potentials,” the CEO of Modelslink International, Emmanuel
Okitiakpe noted.
On her part, tall and gorgeous
looking Myever stated that the crown was a dream come through which she will
use to better the lots of many youths in Nigeria, especially the less privileged
ones. Responding to questions surrounding her 'love life', Myever further noted
that at 18, she will be ready for a relationship.
Anchored by MC Senator, the
memorable event which took place at the Bespoke Event Centre, Lekki, attracted
lots of entertainers including Ashley from Cameron, Igos of Wazobia FM, Kesh Ofuobi,
Fresh, Kelly Blind, Mr. Patrick, Jude Orhorha, M.C. Obele Ife, M.C Koi, among
other notable faces who thrilled the audience with evergreen songs and comedy
