Red Card for Keshi as NFF finally fires him

Keshi
Amaju Pinnick-led Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has relieved Super Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi of his job.
Keshi, his assistants, Ike Shorounmu and Daniel Amokachi have all been asked to proceed on any course of their choice abroad to be sponsored by the football body.
Rising from its Executive Committee meeting which held after Nigeria/Sudan match yesterday and lasted till the wee hours of Thursday at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, the NFF said Shuaibu Amodu, the Head of its Technical Committee will lead a consortium of coaches in the remaining matches of the Eagles in the African Nations Cup Qualifiers, while the federation hunts for a foreign coach for the team.

Keshi-led Eagles defeated the Falcons of Sudan 3-1 at the Abuja National Stadium to revive the dream of going to Morocco 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) championship.
Until yesterday’s game, Nigeria was at the bottom of Group A, having lost to Congo and Sudan and drew South Africa with Keshi coming under fire for the poor performance of the African champions in the qualifiers.
It was reported that fans booed Keshi at the Abuja National Stadium despite the win against Sudan, with many of them carrying placards, calling for his sack.
