She said they are the visions that Elan Red Boutique symbolizes.
Hear her, “Although in recent years the growth around the fashion industry in Africa has been remarkable with several home and international media houses proclaiming the continent as "the next Asia.” But there's still that bridge in fashion retailing, production and distribution yet to be crossed which are capital intensive.
“Just like other emerging brands and individuals, we have decided to introduce ElanRed Boutique with the hope of breaking that mold and create a space for African designers to push their business-side of creativity to a beneficial venture.
“When we started business in December, our mission was to test the debt of the market and see what it looked like. This prompted us to reserve the official launch of the boutique to a later day. But with what I am seeing today and the way things are going for us, I am very sure that we would get there. It also goes to show that we took the right decision by postponing the official launch because it gave us the leverage to work on certain grey areas we observed. And I thank God for everything.”
The ElanRed Boss, who has been described as the best among her contemporaries, was proud to say that they have become the top choice boutique because they have in stocks all the essentials and magnificent designs from various top African designers from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, among others, with the intention of spreading their net further.
Lara was particular that in five years time, she would like to have fashion homes in all the important places in the world, making her a global fashion icon
She also used the opportunity to thank those who have been part of her dreams, especially her husband, adding that without them she would not have been where she is today.
Also speaking to Daylight.ng, Mitchel, who simply gave her name as such, was full of praise for Lara Cole. She said “I think this is one of the best things that have happened to residents of Lekki. Apart from the fact that the place is accessible, the shop is gorgeous and stocked with good wears. Above all, it is relatively cheap.”
In a similar vein, Phina said “I have been coming here since it opened. I actually came here for the first time when I accompanied a friend to buy a top, and ever since, I have not looked back. It was in one of my visits here that I got to know there would be an official launch of the place today. Really, it is a nice place to shop.”
