AMP set to unveil Prince and Princess of Nollywood beauty pageant

The Association of Movie Practitioners of Nigeria (AMP) in association with Heritage International Ltd, have concluded plans to unveil an epoch making beauty contest tagged, Prince and Princess of Nollywood beauty pageant ” billed to for month.

According to the organizers, the event is coming on the heels of their resolve to promote culture and tourism activities in Nigeria and also to develop talents in young people as well as to showcase the potentials in all the states of the federation. The project targets young people between the ages of 17-25 years drawn from all the states of the country.
According to the founder, who is also the Managing Director, Heritage International Ltd, Mr Tanko Ebute, the contest aims at showcasing the potentials in all the states of the federation through entertainment. “ This contest aims at showcasing the rich talents embedded in our young youths through entertainment.
We also want to engage and create employment opportunities for our teeming youths across the country looking at the unemployment situation in the country. We have made it easier for interested contestants as we have opened zonal offices in different states of the country.
We have offices in the, South-South (Uyo), South East (Enugu), South-West (Ibadan), Central zone (Lagos) and the North (Abuja). There will also be a skills acquisition centre for entrepreneurship training for youths and women empowerment programmes would also be established, as well as educational support programmes,”. He said
President of AMP Mr. Ifeanyi Azodo said, “ The pageant is a welcomed initiative as young talents would be engaged in film production, directing of plays, recording and waxing of musical shows, dancing, cinema, and video recording,”.
Each of the first place winners (male and female) of the pageant at the zonal level would take home a deep freezer and cash price of N100,000 while the second and third place winners get flat screen television sets, N50,000 and home theatre, with a N30,000 cash price respectively.
However, each winner at the grand finale will get a Toyota Corolla saloon car, a N500,000 cash prize, with a year acting contact, the second and third place winners get deep freezers and N300,000 and flat screen TV with N200,000 cash rewards, respectively.  Vanguard
