Exposed: Real reasons Dayo Adeneye lost APC House of Assembly primary...The Kenny Ogungbe's connection

Although, he has pledged his loyalty to APC and the governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun in a signed statement issued to the media, but fresh facts are beginning to emerge on the reasons TV/Radio mogul Dayo Adeneye famously known as D1 lost woefully the December 2, Ogun State House of Assembly primary.

An insider who spoke with SHOWBIZPLUSng on the condition of anonymity disclosed that three factors were responsible for Adeneye’s loss.
He said first was the governor’s inability to support and endorse him after assuring him he would do so.
He also mentioned Kenny Ogungbe’s inability to support his bosom friend, Adeneye on his special day as another reason he lost woefully at the polls.
“Aside the fact that governor Amosun, who urged Adeneye to run for the seat, did not give him the much needed support, Kenny Ogungbe also failed Dayo. Imagine, Kenny deliberately refused to show up at Dayo’s declaration at Odogbolu. Even when the chairman of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi urged him to do so, he still refused. This is a sign that all is not well with their vaunted friendship.
Again, Dayo, as a new politician is not on ground and entered the race very late. He didn’t mobilise enough crowd and support for the declaration, the venue was very scanty. Aside Kenny’s absence, several of his celebrity friends and colleagues that would have added colour to his declaration were conspicuously absent. All these noticeable lapses added to Dayo’s failure at the primary.”
Meanwhile, below is part of Adeneye’s signed statement issued to the media and his supporters.
“...At this point, I want to acknowledge the support of every one, family, friends, well wishers and mentors who supported us with their time and efforts during the campaign period. I want to assure all of you that I will continue to promote and exhibit the qualities, principles and doctrine of our great party, All Progressive Congress which seeks to CHANGE the game of leadership for the benefit of all Nigerians in 2015.
Finally, my thanks to all Nigerians and my fans all over the world for the tremendous support they have given and continue to give me. I assure you here with the words of the late Vince Lombardi that “I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour—his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear---is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle---victorious”
Thank you all for your continued support and great understanding.”
