SHOWBIZPLUSng can authoritatively report that after several months of intensive planning, strategic networking and high level consultations, super star actress and multiple-award winning actress Monalisa Chinda is finally ready to thrill and tantalise viewers and fans with her new innovative television talk show - You and I with Monalisa.

The well-packaged and painstakingly produced programme, according to the versatile entertainer from Rivers State, is an unconventional weekly talk show that employs engaging interactive debates intermeshed with drama to address everyday’s social and trending issues.
While speaking with SHOWBIZPLUSng, at a recent world press conference that held at upscale Avenue Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, the theatre arts graduate from the University of Port-Harcourt, added that each episode will commence with beautiful dramatisation that would be followed by endearing discussions with distinguished guests.
“As our society is constantly in flux, the show aims to record these unique changes and promote an on-going debate through the idea of open source interactions. Our guests take on critical social issues with fresh perspectives and insights to highlight possible solutions to a particular dilemma.”
Shedding more light, the revered entertainer stated that You and I with Monalisa hopes to inspire, educate, empower and entertain.
“It will also give hope and encourage people who are disillusioned about the realities of life.
The show will further provide a medium to elevate its audience towards reaching their full potential and becoming the citizens they desire to be.
Above all, it is expected to inspire millions of viewers across TV, electronic and social media platforms globally.’’
The talk show, which is poised to hit airwaves in the next couple of weeks, is packaged in partnership with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Why we moved to a bigger office
-BTA Tv boss, Blessing Afogure
Leading filmmaker and the national president of Media Contents Distributors Association of Nigeria (MCDAN), Blessing Agofure has relocated to a new and bigger office apartment.
The new office complex which is in the heart of Surulere, Lagos, is strategically located at No. 30 Oyekan Street and the boss of BTA Investments limited, occupies the whole grand floor of the newly-built one storey building.
His new and wave making online film outfit, BTA Tv, also operates from the multi million Naira property many insiders are insinuating belongs to the Edo State-born revered Nollywood practitioner.
In fact, Agofure’s new office is currently the most happening place in for Nollywood stakeholders and practitioners in the whole of Surulere and its environs.
SHOWBIZPLUSng spotted several big names in Nollywood trooping in and out of the edifice during a recent visit.
Unassuming and soft-spoken Agofure warmly welcomed us during a recent visit, but refused to comment when asked if the property belongs to him.
“Yes, as you can see, it is true we have moved. We deemed it fit to move from a smaller office to this spacious and more conducive place basically for expansion and our corporate image in line with global best practices. Again, we decided to move in order to operate from a place that will be comfortable for us and our daily increasing clients and business partners.
And we felt this is the right time to move as a focused corporate organization.  We spent so much money relocating to this place and you can see that it is a new building and we are occupying the entire ground floor.”

Jonathan, Fashola, lead eminent Nigerians to Nollywood Health Convention and Awards
It will be the constellation of eminent Nigerian and showbiz stars at the third edition of the annual Nollywood Health Convention and Awards holding inside the main bowl of the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos on Sunday, December 7, 2014.
The laudable initiative SHOWBIZPLUSng learnt is being powered by the Saving Life for Africa Diabetes Foundation (SLAD) in collaboration with the Victor Osuagwu-led Lagos State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
President Goodluck Jonathan is expected as the special guest of honour at this year’s event, which begins with a blue carpet at 2.p.m.
With the theme: Live Healthy, Perform Better, this year’s gathering is already serenading practitioners, stakeholders and friends of the nation’s booming entertainment industry.
Among the top music stars expected to thrill and tantalise guests at the convention include: Tuface Idibia, Timaya, Iyanya, Mr. Raw, Flavour, Phyno, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Kcee and several others.
Interestingly, there will also be an All-Star drama on health at the anticipated gathering of who-is-who in Nollywood.
The duo of Doctors Segun Ogundimu and Uche Ejiofor are expected to deliver papers at the event as guest speakers.
In a brief chat with us, leading Nollywood filmmaker and founder of SLAD, Obi Madubogwu, whose organization is co-promoting and packaging the event with Lagos AGN, called on entertainers to take the issues of their health very seriously.
Shedding more light, Madubogwu, who survived a very severe diabetic challenge disclosed that the aim of the convention is basically to promote the health and well being of Nigerians, especially those living in rural and urban areas.
“As entertainers and mirrors of the society, we want to drastically help reduce the mortality rate of all and sundry, especially the less privileged in our community. We are encouraging and calling on Nigerians, mostly our members to come out on December 7 to check and know their health status. We have gathered a team of medical experts to assist us in doing this. This convention on health is for all and sundry.”
Also speaking on why AGN is partnering SLAD for the convention, elated Mr. Osuagwu stated that as entertainers they placed high premium on the issue of health, especially among its teeming members.
“We are all aware of the age long maxim that health is wealth. We are solidly behind this initiative because we know the importance of health and how germane it is to our profession. You can only jump from one location to another to act or direct films when you are healthy. We are also glad that experts are coming to talk to us about our health and how to maintain healthy life styles as mirrors of the society. We at Lagos AGN have fully endorsed and supported this project because it is very dear to our hearts. Mind you, many of our colleagues have died from numerous health challenges that were not detected early enough or due to ignorance, hence we have decided to be proactive. ”
Meanwhile, the high-point of the grand gathering will be the investiture of President Goodluck Jonathan as the grand patron of AGN/SLAD alongside the presentation of awards and medals to all the patrons, patronesses and health ambassadors of the initiative.
The Federal Ministry of Health is the chief host of the convention, while the Lagos State Ministry of Health is the proud host.
