Osita, thinking about his wedding plans |
Phenomenal Nollywood actor, Osita Iheme, famously known as Pawpaw has been quietly crying and eagerly searching for a wife and soul mate. Observably, his search for love became more pronounced in 2012, shortly after his screen twin brother, Chinedu Ikedieze popularly known as Aki exchanged marital vows with his bride, Nneoma Hope Nwaijah, on Friday, December 9, 2011.
By 2013, more verve was added to his ‘rummaging’, as
he willfully took his supplications to God and further made his desires public.
“I would like to settle down this year (2013) with my missing rib. But the
challenge is that I do not know whom to marry,” the Nollywood phenomenon
disclosed, in an exclusive interview.
However, just as the saying goes; “man proposes, God
disposes,’ his cravings for a life partner was one of his 2013 aspirations that
didn’t come to pass. Apart from his personal wish to quit bachelorhood, the
pressure on the Mbaitoli, Imo State-born star also became much after he
finished playing the role of Best Man to his soul mate on December 9 and 10
respectively.
Though he was unable to tie the knot in 2013, either
by his own making or by a twist of fate, Pawpaw, by November, 2013, was already
sure of his Miss Right, and he did not hide it! At least, for many years after
becoming a celebrated thespian, he was romantically linked to a woman.
He exuded so much joy and ended up flaunting his
missing rib, Nana Ama, a Ghanaian actress and music writer. Their romantic
dalliances and public display of affections were exclusively reported by EE
alongside their beach pictures, which also heavily trended on social media.
Apparently, as far as Pawpaw is concerned, the search
is over; who to marry is no longer a big challenge as he earlier cried out. And
expectedly, as EE gathered, machineries are currently in motion to solemnize
their union here in Lagos, immediately after the traditional rituals!
“Yes, there is somebody in my life right now. But what
I cannot tell you is the exact date we’ll be getting married. What is most
important is that we both are happy being together,” the entertainer who was
raised in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia State, disclosed to EE with
an expression indicating that wedding plans are at the moment ongoing.
But why the choice of marrying a Ghanaian? Why
choosing an actress? These and so many other questions popped up when the
identity of his alleged wife to be was revealed. Pawpaw clears the air: “I
don’t mind the tribe she is from. I don’t have problem with any tribe. I will
marry from any tribe God wants me to marry from. I’m turned on by intelligence
and Godliness! Beauty doesn’t matter to me. Beauty can fade. Inner beauty
doesn’t fade. A God fearing and intelligent woman…the woman that will love me
for whom I am,” he earlier disclosed during his courtesy visit to the Isolo
corporate head office of Entertainment/Sunday Express.
Iheme further answered questions on the kind of father
he would be. “I will be a caring and loving father. I also dream to have twins.
It’s always everybody’s dream. I love twins so much. I don’t know why, maybe I
just like that combination. I don’t know how many children I will have. God
will guide and give me how many He desires for me. Some people want five and
they end up having what they didn’t plan to have. That is why I chose to leave
everything in God’s hands,” he said.
In a bid to know who really the Ghanaian actress, Nana
Ama is, Entertainment Express took out time to search her out.
Our investigations revealed that the entertainer was
born in Kumasi, Ghana, on August 17, 1974. Her mother, Cecilia Agyenim
Boateng, and her father Kwabena Nkrumah, divorced when she was very young.
With her father gone and her mother unable to take care of her and her six other siblings, Nana together with her siblings were adopted by Kofi McBrown, a reason she considers her childhood to have been difficult.

While
many Nigerians, especially the numerous fans of the actor, are earnestly
anticipating his wedding bell, which would expectedly chime in few months time,
there are indications that the wealthy actor who was decorated with the
national honour of MFR in 2012 by President Goodluck Jonathan will be opting
for a secret wedding.
Iheme,
the last in a family of five, four boys and a girl, rose to prominence with his
wondrous role as Pawpaw in the monster hit movie-Aki na Ukwa, in 2003.
Among so many other honours, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award
in 2007 at the African Movie
Academy Awards, and has since been considered to be one of
Nigeria's most famous actors. We would definitely keep
you posted as the wedding plan unfurls.
