2015: Urhobo leaders drum support for Olejeme

Olejeme
As the battle for the Delta State governorship seat continues to   gather momentum, prominent Urhobo leaders have vowed to support the governorship ambition of the Chairman, Board of Directors of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Dr. Ngozi Olejeme.
In a statement issued in Lagos on Tuesday by the Chairman, Urhobo Consultative Forum, Chief Okiemute Obatare, the leaders maintained that there was no better individual to rule the state in 2015 than Olejeme, judging from her antecedents and the need for a visionary leader to pilot the ship of the state.
“After critical assessment of those interested in the coveted seat, we discovered few eminent Deltans with sterling capabilities and qualities to move Delta State forward. Among them, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme stands tallest” they declared after a closed door meeting.
The leaders, who expressed belief in Olejeme’s capacity to lead the state, said a combination of the fear of God which directs her conscience and her background, training and development would guide her conduct in office.

“She has the necessary mental capacity and intellectual disposition, depth and robustness as well as the energy to grasp and tackle the complex and multidimensional determinants of a rapidly transforming state. “She has the experience and track record of performance in public office. She has positively impacted on the lives of the people” the leaders said.
Considering her as a bridge between the old and the young, the symbol of a responsible and accountable leadership in the country, the leaders said Olejeme would deepen the mechanics of governance and service delivery.
“If the leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State want to retain power in 2015, they have no other option but to adopt Olejeme as the party’s flag bearer” they advised
