The Headies
On Boxing Day, December 26, 2013, the black carpet was rolled out
at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, for one of Nigerian biggest music
awards dubbed ‘The Headies.’
Hosted by Mavin Records artiste Tiwa Savage and Dr Sid, awards were presented to a selected few who simply ruled the music charts and had us swaying in all directions to their songs. Olamide was the king of the night; picking up three awards for himself. Afro pop star, Sean Tizzle won the Next Rated award which came with a Hyundai Tucson SUV.

Bowler Hats Bash
Saturday, August 3, 2013 was truly a fun-filled evening of comedy, music and more as top entertainment celebrities
gathered at the upscale Niteshift Coliseum, Ikeja, Lagos for the much
publicized and highly anticipated event tagged Bowler Hats Bash.

Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award
The maiden edition of Africa Magic Viewers
Choice Awards which held in March 9, 2013, at the 5,000 capacity hall of
Eko Hotel and Suits was indeed spectacular as it drew participant from across
the globe. It was indeed one of the hottest events in 2013.
Mandela Tribute Concert
Africa hero, Nelson Mandela was honoured on Wednesday, December 18
with a tribute concert tagged The Legacy Lives: A Tribute Concert at the
Oceanview Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos. It was organized by Mo Abudu‘s Ebony Life TV and coordinated by No Surprises
Events.
Our favourite superstars like 2Face Idibia, Waje, D’banj, Tiwa Savage, Julius Agwu, Susan Peters, Cobhams Asuquo, Seyi Shay, Zaina, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Nikki Laoye, Darey Art- Alade and Olisa Adibua, among others came out in full force to show their support.

Love Like movie
Nigerian music superstar, Darey Art-Alade’s Love Like a Movie concert which held was another spectacular event
in 2013 that trended for months, especially with the controversial appearance
of Kim Kardashiam. The star studded affair took place in style at the Eko Hotel
& Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday 17th February
Glo Laffta Fest
The Glo Laffta
Fest which kicked off in Lagos within 2013 toured Abuja, Owerri, Port Harcourt,
Benin, Abakaliki, Enugu, Asaba, Uyo and Ibadan among others. Organised by Globacom,
it was rated as Africa’s biggest comedy show in 2013.
MTN Loud in naija
In 2013, Lagos was truly agog with
MTN Loud in Naija concert. KCEE, Tiwa Savage, Iyanya, Davido, Wizkid, Banky W. Sound Sultan, Don
Jazzy and Patrick Mathias and MTN Songstar Porsche Cayman’s winner, Patrick
Mathias, were on parade at the SkyPower ground, GRA, Ikeja.
Apart from the exceptional performances, Lagos youths also had the rare opportunity of sharing the stage with MTN’s musical superstars and performed a Karaoke for special prizes of Ipad and Blackberry mobile phones.

The
Experience
“The Experience”,
an interdenominational gospel concert organized by The House on the Rock
Church, came alive again on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Tafawa Balewa
Square in Lagos with the theme: 'Heaven on Earth.' Convened and hosted by
Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the much applauded concert featured some of the
best-known musical talents of our time.

Live
On Sunday 8th April
2012, the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos was the place to be as
the highly anticipated AY Live on Easter
Sunday show finally took place. The well attended event
saw in attendance some of Nigeria’s to entertainers. From the music to the
comedy, this show was simply fantastic.
Felabration
2013
Looking back at
Felabration 2013, it was one of the biggest events in Nigerian music industry as
all the stars brought their ‘A-game’. Speaking of A-game, so did ace rapper Vector
who was brought on as a surprise guest for Seyi Shay‘s
performance.
The
Masters
On Friday September 13, 2013, the stellar packed Night with The Masters show
took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event which was organised by Over The Top Entertainment, was headlined by six music legends- Ebenezer Obey, Onyeka Onwenu, Bright Chimezie, Sir Shina Peters, Femi Kuti and Kwam1 (Wasiu Ayinde).

The Harp Rhythm Unplugged
concert which held at the Eko convention center was well
attended with notable faces, making it one of the hottest concerts of 2013.
Corporate
Elite Event
With black tie as
dress code, The Corporate Elite (Season 7) event which held at Eko Hotel and
Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday, December 1, 2013, paraded some of
Lagos most colourful characters. On the bill of performers were Billy Ocean,
Maxi Priest and many leading musicians.
“D’ Kings Men”
This was another
musical effort, nay concert from D’ banj that wowed music lovers in 2013.
Smooth
Luxury Music Concert
On Saturday, October
12, the Smooth FM Luxury Concert
took centre stage at the Expo Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island,
Lagos. The anticipated event saw the headlining American singer/songwriter Chaka Khan and Benin singer Angélique Kidjo, perform some
of their stellar tracks.

i thank God for seeing 2014. i also hope to attend the major events of the year again-ay live, bowler hats batch,felabration, corporate elite event,etc.
