Banky W condemns Redeemers University for expelling a student

The expulsion of a student of Redeemers University has generated a lot of comments on social media. 

 Several celebrities have also spoken out in support of the student .

 Banky W has even slammed the university saying their decision is un-Christ-like. 

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that one Debo Adebayo had been expelled by Redeemers University because of a post he published on Facebook. 

As a result of his expulsion, some celebrities have taken up his case condemning the university for what they feel is an extreme action to take on the case. 

OAP’s Dotun and Dami Elebe have shared their thoughts on the matter and a hashtag has even been created (#RedeemAdebowale) in his support. 

Musician Banky W even took to his Instagram page to write a lengthy post in Debo’s support. He said the university’s decision to expel him was un-Christ-like.

After 4 years of being an exemplary student (with tons of awards, honours and numerous achievements representing the school - he was the leader of the student union), they expelled him days before his graduation, because he was critical of some Professors and Directors in a Facebook post. 

I read the post and it would definitely be considered offensive by the school. However, it warrants correction at best. 

It is unfair and most certainly, un-Christ-like, to wipe away 4 years of a student's hard work and model behaviour because of this. F

or what is supposed to be a Christian institution, it's ironic that they are being the opposite in trying to ruin this young man's life. 

The punishment does not fit the crime. Please chime in and help us shed light on his case until they reverse their stance and let him have his degree. 

It's a sad, sad day when the world has to plead with a representative of the Church for redemption, forgiveness and justice
