Behold the 16 comedians that will crack ribs in 2014

In this carefully selected list, we bring you 16 humour merchants who will crack ribs endlessly this 2014, in the business of comedy. 
Gordon
 “Comedy, for me, is not a career; comedy is life. Asking me if I will stop is just like asking a prophet if he will stop prophesying. I may stop doing major comedy but I can’t stop being funny. People don’t take me serious when I am trying to express myself, but I understand the job I do,” he explained in a recent interview.
 
The Urhobo-born Integrated Science graduate of Delta State University (DELSU) is obsessed with a desire to conquer the hearts and souls of Nigerians through comedy this 2014.
Elder O
 He was born with no spoon; not even a silver spoon. But when he burst sensationally into the humour business scene, his awe-inspiring rendition immediately fetched him a spoon, golden one for that matter. 
“2013 was a very fruitful year for me. I had my comedy CD; became landlord in my village (laughs); compeered 27 high profile weddings and so many other events. And God added some good corporate guys to my group of clientele  like Exxonmobil, The petroleum club,  the Nigerian Society of Engineers, etc,” he old SE.
 With his presence in virtually all events in the city of Lagos, either as MC or Comedian, Elder O, whose real name is Ogechukwu David is gradually taking over the industry. The Bende, Abia State-born rib-cracker who prides himself as the youngest elder of Federal Republic of Nigeria is indeed a star comedian to watch out for in 2014.
Acapella
 Young and witty comedian, Acapella is also stylishly becoming a top rib-cracker in Nigeria; he can thrill and titillate any audience, irrespective of age or socio-cultural background. His rise to fame started in September 25, 2008, when he emerged winner of AY Open Mic Show.
 Known for his originality, the Imo State-born act is indeed among the comedians that will sparkle in 2014.
Gbenga Adeyinka
Over a decade ago, the face of Nigerian comedy industry significantly changed from the beggarly perception of the society to a respectable profession.  One of the leading faces in this rapid revolution is Gbenga Adeyinka De 1st.  He is one comedian whose name has evolved to become a brand in the entertainment industry.
The proud father of three and graduate of English from the prestigious University of Lagos is another humour merchant to watch out for this year.
Odogwu
 Sylvester Obialor otherwise known as Odogwu is another star to watch out for this year. The University of Abuja graduate of Business Administration has received endorsements of colleagues and fans as one of the most promising talents. In fact, it is a common secret in the industry that he is a joke-spinning machine who many resort to for inspiration.

Mr. Makati
 About six years after abandoning football for comedy. Papa Pass Pikin, as Ejike Richard is fondly called is another rib-cracker that is gradually becoming a household name in the business of comedy.
Perhaps, when he left football for the gutsy ride in comedy little did he know that a fortune awaited him. Today, his name comes aloud in major events within and outside Lagos, a testament that he has distinguished himself.
Bovi
Ace comedian, Ugboma Bovi, popularly known as Bovi has maintained a steady rise to stardom. In fact, he added razzmatazz to the comedy world in 2013 and was wonderfully applauded and celebrated by Nigerians. That is not all; the Delta State-born rib cracker was also unveiled as brand ambassador of Diamond Bank, a feat that is near impossible for ‘mere comedians.’ Expectedly, he will shine again in 2014.   
Okey Bakassi
 He ranks as one of the living role models for many vibrant young Nigerians aspiring to be comedians, actors or masters of ceremonies. Indeed, Okey Bakassi has come a long way in the Nigerian entertainment industry. What started without fanfare years back has today become a motivational factor for many Nigerian youngsters.
The talented actor, writer, producer and stand-up comedian is among comic acts to watch out for this year.  
 
Akpororo
Bowoto Jephta also known as Akpororo is one of Nigeria’s finest comedians with swaggers and should be watched out for in 2014. He started comedy around 2008 and had his breakthrough in 2010 after his recognition at the AY Open Comedy Mic show.
 
Funny bone
 “In 2013 I was able to perform in the major standup comedy shows in Nigeria and I stood out. I performed in shows like AY Live, Basket Mouth Uncensored, among so many others. Definitely, it will get better in 2014. Nigerians should watch out for me this year,” the Anambra State-born Theatre Art graduate of University of Jos said in a chart with SE.
 
De Don
 His 2013 Comedy Happy Hour was successful. Comedy loving Lagosians were treated to an avalanche of comedies from both celebrated and fast-rising comedians whose electrifying performances thrilled and brought laughter on the faces of all present.
“That was my own way of putting laughter on the faces of Nigerians, especially my fans who have stood by my side over the years. There is every hope that 2014 edition will be bigger and better,” the Delta State-born rib cracker hinted.  
 
Klint D’ Drunk
 Klint Igwemba popularly known as Klint D’ Drunk stands tall in the league of comedians. The ace comedian rose to the top of his game and has ever since remained on the top. For many years, the Anambra State-born graduate of Fine Arts from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu has remained sizzling hot, a reason he is expected to continue sparkling in 2014.
Elenu 
Akinlami Babatunde Julius famously known as Elenu, is one of the rib crackers that will further explode this year. Aside being very funny, he also has a rich delivery style that sets him miles apart from his colleagues. This is part of what will catapult his career to the front rows this 2014.
D’Lectura
Emmanuel Adigwe famously known as the D’Lectura is one comedian that has truly evolved over the years. Aside being in hot demand throughout 2013, the Delta State-born rib cracker and father of one, also organized many successful comedy shows last year. He has promised to raise the ante of his flourishing career this 2014.
Ayo Makun
Sensational comedian and compere Ayo Richard Makun globally known as AY, cannot be ruled out as far as 2014 is concerned. Aside being a comedian, he also organizes AY Live, one of the biggest comedy outings in this part of the world every year. And he has promised to make 2014 outing bigger in all ramifications.
 
Seyi Law
Another comedian that will definitely crack ribs in 2014 is Seyi Law.
He was very outstanding in 2013 and anchored several high profile events same year.
He also attracted headline with the opening of his high end comedy lounge and bar, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Aside being funny and spontaneous, the Ondo State-born entertainer is also a crowd puller.
