The anticipated celebration already dubbed: Nollywood Special
Evening (NSE) in honour of Mr. Ifeanyi Dike, holds on Thursday, June 13, inside
the arena of Macnuel Productions on 17 Modupe Johnson Street, Surulere, Lagos.
Confirming the hosting, Leader of Nollywood Patriots and
chief convener of the event Mr. Chidi Nwokeabia, averred that Mr. Dike deserves
more than the hosting for his immense contributions and sacrifice for
Nollywood.
“You may like or hate him, but the truth remains that Mr.
Dike has been actively involved in repositioning the Nollywood brand. He was
there from inception and is still there till today. Don’t forget that he was
the first interim national president of the AGN. And currently its Board of
Trustees Chairman. We are also celebrating him for cheating death recently in
India by going through a successful kidney transplant…”
Mr. Nwokeabia, while shedding more light on Nollywood
Patriots, continued thus:
“Nollywood Patriots is very apolitical. As proud and
professional members of the industry, our vision is to help celebrate those of
our colleagues who have done great things in the industry and are still doing
more. Enough of the back stabbing and incessant fights, we want to celebrate
and honour ourselves irrespective of tribe, gender or religion. That is why we
are inviting all to come and join us in the celebration of one of our own
icons-Ifeanyi Dike,” Nwokeabia, a multiple award winning film producer,
submitted.
