WWE Raw attempts to follow up on arguably its best episode since #RawAfterMania, and one that finally pulled the embattled flagship out of a historic ratings slump.
Last week, WWE advertised a matchup between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt beforehand, and while Raw's first-hour viewers of 3.113 million marked the highest total in over a month, Raw's third-hour viewers dropped 11% to 2.758 million.
Positive ratings news has been few and far between for WWE, and that trend should continue with Raw staring down the barrel of an NBA Finals cannon. WWE's two best segments featured Samoa Joe and The Miz, and both WWE Superstars appeared in back-to-back segments in the Raw kickoff hour that will go unopposed by the NBA Finals
The pull-apart brawl between Samoa Joe and WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar was great and all, but I was watching Enzo and Cass the whole time to make sure neither tried to jump the other during the chaos.
Elias Samson has been on the main roster for about a month now and this feud with Dean Ambrose already seems beneath him.
How did the cruiserweights get two segments during the first hour? WWE does realize this is its only hour to try, impossibly, to convince people to not change the channel to Cavs-Warriors, right? The second those purple ropes came up, WWE was basically saying "enjoy the finals!"
Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins is destined to take place in a haunted Crossfit Gym.
Matt Hardy was sporting a full tan and his hair was tied back. This broken drama seems like it's quietly starting to go away.
I've said countless times that WWE needs to embrace black culture to reach younger viewers. WWE is now trying to add life to the cruiserweight division with Titus O'Neil, Apollo Crews, Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox. It's a start.
I want the names and phone numbers of the families who Enzo and Cass cut in front of in those long lines at Universal Studios this past weekend. They're all suspects.
Not only is Game 5 close, the Cleveland Cavaliers are winning. High drama in Oakland, low ratings on Raw.
"Bayley, what happened" shouldn't be part of a five-minute interview. It's a cautionary tale of life on the main roster.
That mystery bear partner could have been anyone, except Samoa Joe. As we learned earlier, Samoa Joe is not a bear, he's a mutt.
How much of tonight's show came about because the Raw writing staff said "it's fine, we're up against the finals, nobody will be watching."
The following is not a hot take: Neville is, pound for pound, the best heel in WWE.
I don't know who is to blame for the recent attacks on Enzo and Cass, but after constantly one anothers' side, A.D.H.D. is definitely one of the culprits.
If Big Show truly is the attacker, that would mean he'd have to turn heel, which never happens.
Though it was a very underwhelming ending to the Hardy Boyz vs. Sheamus and Cesaro, Raw was a very competent show that was able to hold my attention with LeBron, Kyrie Curry and Durant all my MacBook. How many people noticed, however, will be a different story. forbes.com/
