All is now set for this year’s edition of the prestigious The Sun Awards holding this Saturday, February 20, at the high brow Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, at 3.p.m., this DAYLIGHT.NG can authoritatively report.
Aimed at celebrating Nigeria’s best and finest, the award, which is already the talk-of-the-town, according to the organisers would be spiced up with unrivalled entertainment and much more.
DAYLIGHT.NG exclusively learnt that leading the pack of entertainers billed to thrill VIP guests at the high octane event, is rave of the moment and music star, Harrysong, who has promised to wow guests with an A-list performance alongside his full squad.

Basorge

The glamorous event will be anchored by celebrated entertainer and revered compere, Basorge Tariah Jr.
Tariah who has anchored several high profile events within and outside Nigeria is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the awards as he directs proceedings.
To further electrify guests and add verve to the grand evening gathering, nationally acclaimed music power house, Vintage Band, has been engaged to tantalise and thrill all the invited guests with melodious live music, while the awards lasts.
Interestingly, several Nollywood stars and showbiz impresarios would be gracing the historic awards with their famous faces.
No doubt, their intimidating presence would further add panache, glitz, glamour and razzmatazz to the auspicious event currently serenading the entire nation.
While speaking on why they are honouring and celebrating 20 eminently qualified Nigerians this Saturday at The Sun Awards, the elated managing director and editor-in-chief of the leading national daily, Mr. Eric Osagie said:
“They (awardees) changed the paradigm, altered the equation and quickened the pace of activities in the march of progress to the future.”
Some of the awardees include: The national leader of the ruling APC and ex governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who will be decorated with the revered The Sun Man of the Year and Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, the recipient of The Sun Governor of the Year.
Amazingly, the famous duo of Omoni Oboli and Harrysong would be honoured with the awards of Nollywood Person of the Year and Creative Person of the Year, respectively.
