The ambience was breathtaking and accentuated by aplomb and pageantry. From the green carpet segment to the show proper where more than a handful truly gifted lads thrilled the guest to no end; indeed, every bit of the event oozed high octane gathering. No doubt, it will remain evergreen in the minds of the countless A-list personalities that graced the event.
The event was the dinner to mark the maiden anniversary of Royal Roots Television and the amiable couple behind it all; Greg and Deborah Odutayo, Managing Director and Executive Director respectively certainly put together a true show stopper.
It turned out to be their shine time and they deserved every bit of the plaudits that they received from the enthusiastic guests who were in agreement they deserve the accompanying applause for putting up a great shindig. Besides being well attended folks drawn from all walks of life including banking, oil and gas, the civil service and their ‘natural habitat’- entertainment, it was thrills all through from the performers that graced the state.
“What stands R2TV out in the industry is that we don’t sell air time on our channel and will never do so. We would rather partner with quality content producers and give them a platform to exhale and there are countless of such people around especially amongst the youth who are the core of our target audience. We are content producers; we have produced over 30 contents and still developing more. We want you to watch television where you want it, how you want it and when you want it, that’s why we are the only channel on all the social media platform including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube name it,” Mr. Odutayo gushed in a chat with our correspondent..
The ceremony was coming on the heels of Mr. Odutayo’s sterling performance at the Nollywood Weekly Film Festival which held in Hollywood, Los Angeles in the United States of America last month.
