Denrele Edun needs little introduction. Apart from Charlie Boy, no other person can really come near Denrele when it comes to glamouring the crazy side of stardom. Bobrisky is a learner.
Denrele’s choice of presentation style and dressing has seen him carve a niche for himself, probably inspiring crossing-dressing upstarts like local Bobrisky and his likes.
Having paid his dues in Nigeria and Africa, the controversial-cum-weirdo Denrele has now caught the attention of CNN as they featured him on their CNN African Voices feature. Amongst other things he said, he didn’t forget to shade his family members who he said more or less wrote him off because of his eccentric taste and disposition. Hear him:
“My grandma would wake up in the morning and start crying and lamenting that her grandchild was running mad, and I might be admitted to a psychiatric hospital…Now, the table is turned, those people who had been dissing me are right now kissing my very cute little behind.”
The fame may be right, but was it okay of him to say ‘they are kissing his little behind’? Oh, we forgot it’s Denrele we’re talking about!
