The first prize presentation in the ongoing MTN Cash Smash Promo has come and gone, but the intriguing story of how an orphan emerged as the biggest winner of the day still goes on. Paul Sunday Agboola, is a 400 level undergraduate in the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, he lost his father when he was barely a year old and lost his mother at the age of 19, he reportedly got interested and played in MTN Cash Smash Promo because of the educative aspect of it, by answering the questions there-in. He eventually emerged the biggest winner at the prize presentation held on December 27, 2013, at the Westown Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

Agboola was one of the three grand winners of a-house each and also a part of the thirty subscribers in the category that won two million naira each at the presentation. He however opted for thirteen million Naira cash, an equivalent of the house at stake for the promo. The lucky student, who is currently studying “Finance”, was handed his cheque by ace-actor, Norbert Young, after recounting what he went through as an orphan paying his way through school by working and schooling at the same time.
The presentation, which had the representatives of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) in attendance, also saw two other people, an Auchi, Edo State based business man, Charles Nnedosa and a pastor with Winners Chapel, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Johnson Abanulor, getting their prizes for winning Houses. While over 30 people got cheques for winning two million Naira and the twenty thousand Naira category saw many more winners emerged.
Speaking on the credibility of the MTN Cash Smash Promo, Seun Atte, the representative of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, said “The MTN Cash Smash Promo has been free and fair and NLRC is here to see it through as the winners get their prizes. We are really impressed with MTN and how they have been handling the Cash Smash Promo.”
On her part, the Master Brand Manager, MTN, Funmi Olaogun has said the company is out to make live richer for its teeming consumers.  “MTN will never promise anything without fulfilling it, we promised 100 cars in Automania Promo last year and they were delivered to the winners. This time around nothing is changing; therefore tell your families and friends what you have seen here. It is real and genuine” she declared.
The MTN Cash Smash Promo will run for one hundred days and will end in February 14, 2014.
