I forgive Taylor Swift - Katy Perry

Katy Perry has forgiven Taylor Swift for their feud and is ready to bury the hatchet.
The pair's feud began in 2014 when Taylor revealed her song Bad Blood was about a female musician who stole backing dancers from her tour. Many reports came to the conclusion it was about Katy, which the Chained to the Rhythm singer recently confirmed in interviews.
The 32-year-old has spoken about it a few times in the press in recent weeks and now she is ready to let go of the war and make amends, telling Arianna Huffington, a special guest on her Big Brother-style live-stream, she doesn't "want to be held" to it anymore.
"I forgive her, and I'm sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her, and I think it's actually... I think it's time," she said on Saturday (10Jun17). "I love her and I want the best for her, and I think she's a fantastic songwriter, and like, I think that if we both, her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go, like, 'Yeah, we can do this.'"
She admitted that there are far bigger problems going on in the world and so, although neither of them may agree with everything the other does, she hopes that can come together "in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion".
"God bless her on her journey," Katy stated. "I want to operate in a positive, kind space. I want to be an example of kindness, compassion, love, and I forgive and forget.
"That wasn't easy for me. I think everybody knows that wasn't easy for me. But it's fine... I want to let it go. I really want the best for every person."
Taylor, who has never directly addressed whether the song was about Katy, was slammed on Twitter on Friday (09Jun17) for releasing her back catalogue on streaming sites on the same day as Katy launched her new album Witness.
To promote Witness, Katy is living in a Big Brother-style house for the weekend and it is being live-streamed on YouTube. It ends with a free concert in Los Angeles on Monday (12Jun17). musicnews.com
