Former military
Head if State, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, on Saturday afternoon touched down at the
Minna Airport after a two-month medical sojourn in Germany.
Babangida
was received by the Minister of Defence, Aliyu Gusau and close family members
at the Minna Airport.
On
arrival, he thanked all well wishers that stood by him during his stay at the
hospital, adding that “I miss everyone around me’’.
“When I
rest, then we shall talk more with my friends about current issues as we
usually do. But for now, let me rest,” he told reporters.
NAN
reports that the General was welcomed home at his hilltop residence by his
grandchildren.
Other
personalities that welcomed him home included AVM Hamza Abdullahi, Gen. Halilu
Hakilu, Col. Habibu Shuaibu and former Chairman of Peugeot Automobile Nigeria
(PAN), Umaru Ndanusa.
