Lolo1, Omalicha, Elajoe to host NBMA 2014

The trio of Wazobia FM’s presenter Omotunde Adebowale - David famously known as Lolo1, Rhythm FM’s sexy presenter Anita Isedeh otherwise known as Omalicha and Tochukwu ‘Elajoe’ Nwosu, one of the unsung Nigerian hip-hop heads, have been chosen as hosts for the fifth edition of the yearly Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA), coming up soon.

The NBMA as the name implies, is an award ceremony organized to celebrate, honour, and appreciate past and current broadcasters, as well as those who have passed on. It also seeks to celebrate those broadcasters who have distinguished themselves as role models, mentors, and propagators of social change in society. These great people have had a memorable impact on their listeners and viewers over the years through their programmes, as they educate, inform, entertain and promote peace.

This year’s NBMA, which is one of the pioneers’ awards for TV/Radio broadcasters and on-air personalities in the country, holds on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Ballroom of Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Seasoned broadcaster, Femi Sowoolu, who is NBMA’s patron, is expected to welcome all the invited guests, while DJ Unbeatable of Rainbow 94.1FM, will be in charge of quality music at the event.

Among the side attractions lined up for the forthcoming event powered by Kazeem Popoola include: a red carpet reception, dance drama, fashion exhibition by 3G stitches, command performances from shining music and comedy stars, cocktails and more. The awards proper begin at 4.p.m.

The NBMA is packaged by The Reality Entertainment, and the organizers have assured that it would be an evening to remember.
