Afrocandy confesses: 'How my hubby pushed me into porn movies'

Afrocandy

Judith Mazagwu, the controversial actress and emerging porn star known as Afrocandy, in this interview monitored by SHOWBIZPLUSng revealed how her ex hubby forced her into becoming a pornography movie actress.
She also talked about her love for plastic surgery and reasons she likes exposing her boobs and other sensitive parts of her body.

Why did you go into pornography? Was it for money or to spite someone?
It was just an idea that popped up in my mind. It wasn’t in any way to get back at my estranged husband then. I’d been separated from my husband since 2007, but the porn movie thing came up just around last year. I can say that money was the primary reason because at a time after my husband left me in the US, I couldn’t pay my house rent. So I went into it both because of the money and the fun.
So would you say your desire for money has been met and have you made enough money from porn movies?
You know one thing, no matter how much one makes, it’s never enough. I still need more money.  As I’m talking to you now, a major distribution company has bought the exclusive distribution right for that movie worldwide. I owe it all to God.
Really? Do you acknowledge God in this?
Of course I do. Who created me anyway? You think I don’t know who created me? I am a Catholic and sometimes I do go to church. In fact, I went to St Leo’s Catholic church last Sunday.
Did you also dress your usual half nude to the church?
I dressed my normal way and had this same crazy hairdo. No I didn’t feel out of place. And this happens to be my birthday month so when celebrants were called out to be prayed for, I also came out and the reverend father sprinkled holy water on me and some entered my eyes. (laughing)
But your lifestyle will definitely be frowned at in the society especially in Nigeria here. How do you cope with negative reactions from people?
I owe nobody any explanations. It’s my life and this is exactly how I wanna live it. I’m having fun doing what I am doing. Let me tell you, if not for the joy and satisfaction I found in showbiz, I might have died out of depression. So my life style is my choice. There are those of us who are born to be in this game and 20 years from now I still want to be in this game.
What about your family, do they know about your lifestyle and how do they take it?
My family doesn’t have time to start bothering about my life style. They are all busy with their different lives and careers. In my family, we have two big engineers, a lawyer and a doctor so come on they don’t have my time even if they know. Moreover, my kids are my immediate family now.
And what about your Kids, do they know about your lifestyle and how are they taking the whole thing too?
I don’t have to show my kids my bad movies. But the truth is that I tell them about it somehow. I tell them ‘look, I’m doing some crazy stuffs but it’s all in the game’.
So what if any of them decides to follow mummy’s footstep?
No, no, no. Not at all. They must get their education first. I’m not one of those mothers that will give room to their kids to choose if they want to go to school or not. It is mandatory that they go to school just like I did. I also remind them that before this whole thing, I also got married and had them. So if any of them chooses to follow my footsteps after achieving all these, then the choice is theirs.
Do you plan to quit this lifestyle anytime soon?
Not at all. Why would I quit when I’m thoroughly enjoying myself. I just finished a club tour in Ikeja. I get paid as much  as N200,000 to appear in clubs. Though some of the clubs are strictly for big politicians and it was exclusive. Maybe I can consider quitting when I’m getting old and my body begins to wrinkle. Though, I have plans to do plastic surgery if there is need for it. But sincerely, I still want to to be in this game in another 20 years.
What would you say inspired your sojourn into this your new trend of entertainment?
I was sleeping in my house one night and a song came to me in my dream, I woke up and told my kids about it. At this time, I was unable to pay my house rent and the landlord was already threatening to evict me from his house. I knew I needed help desperately. Along the line, I met a producer who offered to produce my songs if I had good ones. Somehow I realized that as a beautiful woman I shouldn’t be broke. So I recorded Ikebe na money and Lonely. When shooting the video, I knew I had to do something extra ordinary so I removed my G string, put it on top of the guy and began to wind my waist vigorously. Wow, that was what started the whole frenzy. People went crazy and the whole phenomenon of Afro candy was birthed.
Sometime ago you were begging for money from fans on your facebook page for your daughter’s school fees. Does it mean you don’t make enough money from your porn lifestyle?
It was a stunt. It’s all part of the game. My daughter actually refused to go to all the other schools where she was offered scholarship but chose a particular one which was very expensive. So part of why I did that was also to see if I can get her to change her mind and attend the school I can afford.
Are you saying you weren’t broke as reported?
Look at me very well, do I look broke? I shop for all my clothes and shoes in America and I don’t think a broke person can do that. Like I said, it was all part of the game, you got to do what you got to do. If the stunt worked out, I would have been happy because I definitely want the money. If not for anything, I’ll use it to buy more wigs and hair extensions for myself.
Why the decision to produce a porn movie?
I wanted to do something different from the normal movies we see, I mean the so called love movies without actions. I’m sure a lot of people are tired of all that and need something different. People like me who doesn’t believe in such fakeness. The movie actually has a storyline but I went the extra mile to make it extraordinary.
Do you believe in love?
Of course, I believe in love but in a different way. My definition of love is money. Any man that gives me money is showing me love and will surely get mine in return. For instance, if a minister just comes and dumps dollars on me, I’ll naturally fall in love with him. Money to me is the determining factor in love.
With this kind of philosophy, do you still think of marriage?
Of course I do. But it will be money marriage. My estranged husband is begging me to come back but I don’t know if I will. As I’m speaking with you, he is the one taking care of my girls back in the United States. He’s been begging and promising to make up for the time we’ve been apart. But how can he do that? I tell him I’m not the same woman he married but he says he doesn’t mind that he wants me like that.
So are you in love right now?
Yeah! He is spoiling me with money and I love him. He’s the one paying my bills in this hotel and it costs as much as 25k per night, including my other expenses.
Can you tell us about him?
No. I won’t mention his name.
Is he a married man?
Nope. He is a single guy, but not all these your yuppie guys with droppy pants, hell no.
Can you do straight pornography in movies?
Oh yes, once I have chemistry with the guy .Yes I can be f----d for real.  In my movie, I stripped totally naked and had a guy fondle my boobs. It’s no big deal.
What is your philosophy of life?
To me life is give and take.  I don’t have to carry the whole world on my head. Life to me is a roller coaster, it’s not that serious. That’s why when I see people just taking life that seriously cursing and gossiping I’m like ah. So let me live my life the way I want and I don’t interfere in yours. I believe in live and let’s live.
