after launching her G-Wagon Benz, controversial Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, has
bought a Nmulti million mansion in the Lekki area of Lagos.
A reliable
source told SHOWBIZPLUSng that the eye popping edifice is located in the
Elegushi area of Lekki and reeks of opulence.
The
divorcee actress, according to our source declared the house open yesterday,
December 30, with a lavish party that was attended by some of her colleagues
and dignitaries.

Today, Wednesday,
December 10, 2014, nominees for the third
edition of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) were
revealed.
Announcing the nominees was popular
on air duo, Nick Mutuma of Mashariki Mix and Sika Osei of 53 Extra during a special live broadcast
on all Africa Magic and Maisha Magic channels. With them in the studio to
discuss the quality of this year’s entries was renowned writer, filmmaker and
AMVCA judge, Mr. Femi Odugbemi.

COSON set to dole out millions to member musicians

Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) has announced that its
Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) will take place on Tuesday, December 16,
2014 at the Oranmiyan Hall, Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos. The main
agenda of the meeting is for members to pass a resolution to approve this
year’s distribution of music copyright royalties after which distribution shall
commence immediately.

Amiable Deputy Speaker of
the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha floored Ikedi Ohakim and
others to clinch the PDP governorship ticket of Imo State at a very smooth and
well applauded primary in Owerri.
Also, barely four months
after joining the Peoples Democratic Party, a pharmacist and an entrepreneur,
Mr. Jimi Agbaje, on Monday emerged as the PDP governorship candidate for Lagos
State.
He defeated a former
Minister of State for Defence and Nigeria’s ex-High Commissioner to Ghana,
Musiliu Obanikoro,who was touted as the leading contestant in the primary.

Political war: PDP gov aspirant, Gbadamosi, wears bulletproof vest to primary
Strange things are happening daily as Nigeria marches towards new
political dispensation in 2015.
A Lagos State governorship aspirant, Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi,
popularly known as BOG, caused a stir at the Lagos State Peoples
Democratic Party governorship primary when he arrived the venue in a
bulletproof vest.
Gbadamosi, while addressing journalists at the venue, said he wore the
vest in order to protect himself from being hit by a stray bullet following the
violence that erupted earlier in the day.

Wike, who immediately gave his acceptance speech after the result of the primary, polled 1,083 votes, while Dumbari Dimkpa came a distant second with 21 votes.

The third edition of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards
(AMVCAs) kicks into another gear as nominees will be announced on Wednesday,
December 10 2014.
A
statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng by the organizers said DStv and GOtv audiences
should tune in to catch the announcement which
airs on
all AfricaMagic channels at 20:30 CAT. Public voting will open
immediately after the announcement and closes on February 28, 2015.

High Court in Wuse Zone II, Abuja, has granted an order restraining former
President Olusegun Obasanjo from going on with plans to publish or have someone
publish on his behalf, his new autobiography titled, ‘My Watch.’
Request for the order was
made by a member of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Buruji Kashamu,
in an ex parte application.

Expo that held at Westown Hotel, Ikeja on Monday, December 8 and Tuesday

it Save Lagos, has accused the national leader of the party and former governor
of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu of allegedly bribery delegates with $ 30, 000 each,
in order to vote for his anointed candidate, Akin Ambode at their controversial
primary that has shamefully ended the second day.
