The third edition of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) kicks into another gear as nominees will be announced on Wednesday, December 10 2014.

A statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng by the organizers said DStv and GOtv audiences should tune in to catch the announcement which airs on all AfricaMagic channels at 20:30 CAT. Public voting will open immediately after the announcement and closes on February 28, 2015.

The world of African television is set for an exciting development as popular radio personality and Big Brother Africa host, IK Osakioduwa launches his new show on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 20:00 CAT (7pm Nigerian time). BBA: How Samantha, Mr. 265 were booted out of Hotshots house

After 42 days in the Big Brother Hotshots house, Mr. 265 (Malawi) and Samantha (South Africa) were booted out on Sunday night after not picking up enough votes from the continent. The 12 housemates who are left in the game are on high alert though, as Big Brother introduced a twist which they think puts them all in danger of leaving next week and surrendering their shot at the USD300 000 prize.

After Samantha and Mr. 265 were evicted, IK took viewers into the house for a special announcement from Big Brother. Biggie told the housemates that there were to be no nominations after the live show, but that instead, all of them were up for eviction next Sunday.

Lililan Afegbai recently became one of the latest housemates to leave the Big Brother Africa Hotshots house. As is the custom, MultiChoice Nigeria threw her a homecoming party upon her return to Nigeria, like none other previously.

The party, SHOWBIZPLUSng learnt took place at the prestigious Fuse Bar and Lounge, in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking with the media shortly before the commencement of her homecoming party, an excited Lilian said she was in shock when she heard that she had been evicted from the Big Brother Africa reality show.

M-Net and Endemol South Africa have taken immediate steps to address an error that occurred during the Nomination Announcement on Big Brother Hotshots on Monday evening, 13 October 2014. The name of Permithias was erroneously omitted from the list of this week’s nominated housemates and was not made available as a voting option for viewers on the relevant platforms.

Housemates made their nominations on Sunday evening. Frankie received 8 nominations, Tayo and JJ received 7 each Permithias received 6, Esther received 5, Sabina received 4,and Lilian and Laveda received 3 nominations each.

In fact, she stole the show at the classy and well attended unveiling ceremony that held inside the newly built studio of Big Brother in the heart of Johannesburg, South Africa, on Sunday, October 5, amid glitz and grandeur.

The Tanzania beauty dazzled and mesmerized live studio guests and the entire continent with her expertise on the saxophone when introduced on stage to deliver her one minute performance as instructed by Biggie.

Laveda, who scored the highest vote for the night among her colleagues, did not only dazzle with her sax, which was stylishly hung on her neck. She also sent the hearts of men thumping and beating very fast with her above knee length slit gray gown, which revealed parts of her spotless legs and inviting thighs.
