Despite the overwhelming
evidence, Yoruba actor Yemi Solade has denied ever nursing the ambition of going into
politics.
In the past few weeks,
reports monitored by SHOWBIZPLUSng have it that the actor was venturing into the
murky waters of politics.
It was even alleged that the
thespian stealthily joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was equally
eying the National Assembly.
But to the consternation of
many, he reacted recently and debunked ever nursing such an ambition.
“Don’t mind those peddling
the rumour and kindly ignore the designed poster that has gone viral, do I have
the energy for the politics of this country? It’s false ooh,” the actor wrote
on Facebook.
He continued: “Don’t mind
the unserious individuals peddling the rumour, someone merely designed the
poster for the fun of it and posted it on Facebook, only for it to go viral,”
he added.
