More tears as Nigerians mourn Dora Akunyili

SHOWBIZPLUSng can authoritatively report that it has been tears galore as Nigerians from all walks of life are currently mourning the painful and sudden death of professor Dora Nkem Akunyili who died in a Specialist Cancer Hospital in India, this morning at 10.a.m, after a two year battle with cancer. She was aged 59.
While breaking the sad news of Akunyili's demise, Mr. Peter Obi, the immediate past governor of Anambra, who visited and prayed with the deceased few days before she passed on, said the ex minister and former NAFDAC boss was unwavering in her belief for Nigeria, despite her illness.
"We thank all those who remain fervent in prayers for her recovery and urge them to remain prayerful for the peaceful repose of her soul," devastated Obi stated.

Meanwhile, several Nigerians, mostly indigenes of Anambra State, where Akunyili hailed from, who spoke with SHOWBIZPLUSng, lamented the death of the amazon and national icon, whose last public appearance was at the ongoing national conference in Abuja.
