National
telecommunications operator, Globacom, has moved to the position of the
second largest mobile service provider in the country beating Airtel to
the third place.
According
to figures just published by industry regulator, Nigerian
Communications Commission (NCC) on its website, Glo had 27,327,646
subscribers on its network as at the end of June, 2014.
A statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng stated that the figure
translates to 21% share of the Nigerian telecoms market, and places Glo
second to MTN which has 56,516,759, thus calling for celebration and jubilation by the management and staff of the Mike Adenuga led telecoms giant.
