Though, aging gracefully, they still command the attention of the opposite sex on a daily basis. Behold the 20 Nollywood hottest sexy mamas who have not stopped wowing the industry with their styles and sensations.



Joke Silva
The charm and elegance that she effuses makes the golden age to look like the new cool. At 53, Joke Silva is a study in panache and grace. After two children with Olu Jacobs, her thespian husband of 29 years, the multi-talented all-round actress has remained stayed in shape whether on screen or the red carpet. “The major one is that life is not a bed of roses. And strength is not the amount of noise you can make but how to cope when life throws you lemon,” is how she captures her staying power.

Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett
TAL as she is fondly called will notch the septuagenarian age of 73 on Monday February 3. Yet her demeanour bellies the energy of a youth. The British trained star actress who co-starred with renowned Michael Crawford (Frank Spencer) in Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em is far from being spent. She made a guest appearance on the ongoing season of Mnet’s Tinsel and has ben named among the cast of Prof. Wole Soyinka’s Biopic entitled Ake.

Outside the wicked mother-in-law typecast, Patience Ozokwo is more. A mother and grand-mother, Mama G as fans dubbed her is your poster lady of Nollywood Sexy Mamas. Except when she is on a movie, the Enugu State-born thespian is usually in her jeans and other casual wears. Her youthful deportment has kept many guessing her real age.

Ngozi Nwosu
Not even a debilitating battle with kidney and heart ailments last year would keep Ngozi Nwosu down. With victory dance steps, she not only emerged stronger after her ordeal but also waltzed into the golden age of 50. She is back as Peaceful Peace on Fuji House of Commotion.

Lanre Hassan
Otherwise known as Iya Awero by lovers of Yoruba movies, Lanre Hassan marked 50 years on stage last year. The 62 year-old veteran actress who made a foray into Yoruba theatre as a prodigy prides herself as one of the oldest living legend.

Idowu Philips
She is one of the oldest in the Yoruba movie industry. By October, Iya Rainbow as she is fondly called will clock the septuagenarian of 72. Retirement is far from the mind of the hardworking actress. “Even at 70, men still make love advances at me,” she shocking revealed two years ago. 

Rachael Oniga
At 56, Rachael Oniga enjoys the reputation of a timeless thespian. The crossover actress and proud mother of three has not shown any sign of let-up. Endowed with the vigour of a youth, these days she is frequent on the set of Yoruba movies.

Bukky Ajayi

She stars in a movie entitled Living Funeral produced by Orode Udughan, daughter of Delta State Governor.

Her absence of late from the TV screens is not by accident. Clarion Chukwura is on a hiatus that can only be broken by a brilliant script. The 49 year-old and mother of Sir Shina Peters son, Clarence Peters made a recent return in a movie entitled Hustlers produced by Elvis Chuks.

A large portion of the young generation watched her mesmerize as co-star with Nobert Young in the flagship popular 90s’ sitcom entitled Family Circle. Since then, the ageless Ronnie Dikko has remained a fixture on prime time TV with Spider and her self-produced show tagged, Time Out with Ronnie among others. 

Kate Adepegba
She belongs among the ladies of the golden age. Last year was a year of milestones for Kate Adepegba who clocked the age of 50. The well celebrated event at Etall Hall, Oregun, Lagos also doubled as her 30 years anniversary as an actress. She has kept a date with fans on the TV soap, Tales of Eve.

Caroline King
Debonair and flair are just few of the flowery expressions that best describes the actress who waltzed into age 50 last year. Add to that her aloofness to the public and what you have is the sweetheart of Nigerian TV soaps, Caroline King. Her resume include Everyday People, I Need To Know, Egdge of Paradise and recently, Tinsel.

Toyin Adegbola
Not many know her by her real names as much as they do when she is addressed as the character Ashawo to re Mecca. That has become an eponym which has continued to define her several years after.  The Ibadan, Oyo State-based Yoruba actress is still in hot demand by Yoruba movie producers. 

Madam Kofo
You will know her by her eye-catching and imposing head gear or Gele as it is known in Yoruba parlance. It is debatable that Abiola Atanda is more popular for her stunning head-gear than her artistry. For the Yoruba actress, that relationship between her acting and her Gele is a seamless possibility that has continued to stand her out.

Barbara Soky
She made a recent comeback two years ago in the blockbuster, Mr & Mrs featuring Nse Ikpe-Etim and Joseph Benjamin. Barbara Soky’s opus dates back to the golden TV era of 80s’ with Mirror in The Sun. The River State-born actress is like an old wine that has taste better with time.

Florence Onuma

She is as old as Nollywood. As one of the faces in the pioneer 1992 movie, Living in Bondage, Obiageli Molube has remained an inspiration for other actresses. Her oeuvre include Rattle Snake II, Dangerous Twins and a stage tour of late Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart.

Famous for her portrayal of Toyin Tomato in Wale Adenuga’s TV Series, Super Story, cross over actress Sola Sobowale’s effervescence has endeared her to fans and fellow actress’ alike. Genevieve Nnaji was star-struck when she ran into the actress in public.
