plot with taxi driver Zola Tongo and others to kidnap and murder his wife,

2015 AFCON: Equatorial Guinea replaces Morocco as host nation

Morocco had originally been set to host the tournament, but then asked for it to be delayed due to fears over the spread of the Ebola virus, which has claimed over 5,000 lives across Africa.
CAF rejected that request and subsequently stripped Morocco of the tournament, as well as ejecting their national team from the competition, and has now awarded the tournament to Equatorial Guinea.

Confederation
of African Football president Issa Hayatou expects a new host for the
Africa Cup of Nations to be confirmed before the end of the week.
CAF
confirmed on Tuesday that Morocco would no longer host AFCON next year,
following a stand-off with the Federation Royale Marocaine de Football
over concerns surrounding the Ebola virus.
With
CAF vehemently opposed to switching the dates and the FRMF eager to
move the competition, it was also confirmed that Morocco will not
feature in the tournament.

A small plane crashed Sunday afternoon in the Bahamas (midnight in Nigeria),
killing internationally known minister and motivational speaker Myles Munroe,
his wife and several other people, Munroe’s ministry said Sunday night. The
Bahamian aviation ministry confirmed that there were “some fatalities” among
the nine people on board.
Dave Burrows, head of youth ministries for Munroe’s non-denominational
Bahamas Faith Ministries International, said at a hastily convened news
conference Sunday night that Munroe’s wife, Ruth — also a widely known figure
in international evangelical circles — and the ministry’s senior vice president

After months of legal battle, Appeal Court finally okays new number plates
The Court
of Appeal, Lagos, has granted the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, the
permission to go ahead with the new number plate.
Justice
Shagbaor Ikegh, gave the ruling in a judgement last Friday which was released
to newsmen yesterday in Lagos.
The
plaintiff, Mr Emmanuel Ofoegbu, had filed a suit against the FRSC before a
Federal High Court, Lagos.

Again: Boko Haram breaks ceasefire agreement, attacks Borno villages, kills Speaker's dad

Less than 24 hours after the much-publicised
ceasefire deal reached by the Federal Government and the Boko Haram sect, the
terrorist group attacked two communities in Borno State, a security source revealed.
The Nigerian government had announced on Friday
that the Islamic sect and the military had agreed to a ceasefire.
According to the military source, about 20 Boko
Haram fighters in two pick-up vans stormed Maikadiri in Abadam Local Government
Area, northern part of Borno on Friday evening, shooting into homes.
