Badeh assures Boko Haram will release 218 Chibok girls on Monday

There are strong indications that the 218 schoolgirls abducted six months ago in Chibok, Borno State, by the violent Boko Haram sect may be released on Monday following a ceasefire agreement between the sect and the Federal Government.
The Federal Government, through the Nigerian military, had on Friday said that it had agreed to a ceasefire with the violent sect and that the Chibok girls would soon be released.
The deal was announced by the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh.
The military has struggled to defeat Boko Haram sect which began attack against Nigeria since 2009.

Chibok girls hit 100 days in captivity as 11 parents die from shock, heart attack

The National Chairman, Chibok community, Pogu Bitrus, has said that four more parents of the abducted girls of the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State have died thus raising the number to 11. SHOWBIZPLUSng findings revealed that this sad news is coming in the wake of the abducted girls already spending 100 days in captivity, without any hope for their freedom in sight.
An online newspaper, The Cable, in its report monitored by SHOWBIZPLUSng quoted Bitrus as saying that seven of the parents of the girls abducted by members of the Boko Haram sect on April 14 from their hostel at Government Secondary School, Chibok, died of heart attack and frustration.

Finally, Jonathan meets Chibok girls parents, says FG doing everything possible to rescue them

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan today, Tuesday July 22, in Abuja finally met and reassured the Chibok community that his Administration is doing everything humanly possible to rescue the over 200 girls abducted from a college there in April and return them safely to their parents.
A statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, stated that Jonathan while speaking at a meeting in the Presidential Villa with parents of the abducted girls, some of the girls who escaped from their abductors and leaders of the community, appealed for their patience, understanding and cooperation.
