Collapsed Synagogue building: ‘Don’t give Joshua visa,’ angry ANC youths tell Zuma

The African National Congress Youth League has called on the Jacob Zuma-led South African government not to issue a visa to the General Overseer of the Synagogue of All Nations, Pastor Temitope Joshua.
Joshua had expressed on Sunday his desire to visit South Africa to commiserate with the families of 84 citizens of the country who lost their lives when a building of the church collapsed in Lagos on September 12.
About 115 people died in the tragedy and Joshua had described those who lost their lives as martyrs to the consternation of South Africans.
But reacting to Joshua’s desire to visit South Africa, the spokesperson for the ANC Youth League, Bandile Masuku, said, “TB Joshua should not be allowed to come to South Africa until we know what happened to our fellow countrymen at his church.

Murder at the Synagogue: Tears, wailing as Lagos, NEMA, end rescue operation…80 corpses recovered

The rescue operation at the site of the collapsed six-storey building owned by the Synagogue Church of all Nations has been concluded with tears and wailing from families who lost loved ones.
The National Emergency Management Agency and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency which announced that they had reached “ground zero” on Thursday, said a total of 131 people were rescued while 80 corpses were recovered.
Some of those rescued alive, according to them, have been discharged, while others are still receiving treatments for various degrees of injuries at some hospitals in Lagos.

Ebola: How Lagos nurse who treated Liberian Sawyer died

 The Federal Government said on Wednesday that a nurse, who was one of the medical personnel that attended to the late Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer, has died of the disease.
Sawyer died of Ebola virus in a Lagos private hospital penultimate Friday.
Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, who stated this at a news conference in Abuja, also confirmed that five other medical practitioners, who participated in the treatment, were already infected with the virus.
He said, “Nigeria has now recorded seven confirmed cases of Ebola Virus Disease.

Ebola: Fashola’s men storm T.B Joshua’s Synagogue…Warn church against harbouring victims

Officials of Lagos State Government and some federal delegates on Sunday paid a visit to the General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua.
The visit, SHOWBIZPLUSng learnt was aimed at sensitising the church and its membership on the menace of the deadly Ebola virus.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, who led the delegation, said it was also to make sure that no victim of the virus came into the church from any of the affected countries.
