self-service platform to resolve their queries.
A statement sent to SHOWBIZPLUSng stated that DStv
subscribers who want to access more Self-service options can now dial *288*2#
and follow the voice prompt, and subscribers who want to get more details of the
various online payment options can log on to www.dstv.com for more information.
Speaking on the self-service options, Caroline
Oghuma, Public Relations Manager, DStv said the variety of options will help
subscribers experience seamless reactivation of their accounts when they pay
their subscriptions.
Oghuma explained that if a customer needs to
immediately reactivate an account after subscription has been paid; “all the
subscriber needs to do is SMS RA then leave a space followed by the first ten
digits of his smartcard number to 30333 and the decoder will be reconnected”
she said
She also noted that issues like payment, finding an
installer, trouble shooting, FAQs, clearing errors among others can be resolved
through the DStv Self Service platform.
For subscribers to update their personal details on
their DStv account, they can text their phone number and smartcard number to
30333.
