Elated Sunny Ade says Glo Evergreen Series will empower Nigerian music

KSA

Juju music legend and one of Africa's greatest music maestros, Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye popularly known as King Sunny Ade, has pledged to dole out his best performance during the forthcoming Glo Evergreen Series, the KSA Edition in Lagos on February 28.

"The Glo Evergreen Series will feature the best of my performances in my 50 years on stage", said KSA who is globally renowned for his amazing prowess as a guitar master and choreographed dance routines.

He described the Evergreen Series as a good development that will afford "me the opportunity to connect with my fans and delight them in a special way”.

KSA stated that the Evergreen series has provided a remarkable platform for "Nigeria's music legends to perform with younger ones and mentor them, thus helping to raise the quality of contemporary music in Nigeria and Africa”.

He gave kudos to Globacom for coming up with such a laudable concept, adding that the project will provide unique opportunities for the younger generation to learn from the legends.

According to him, “The Glo Evergreen Series has opened a new vista in the Nigerian music industry and it will go a long way in uniting the country’s entertainment Industry”.

He eulogised Globacom Chairman Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr. as “a man that came with the power of the Holy Spirit to rescue the communication industry in Nigeria”.

“Dr. Adenuga came and solved the country’s communication problems and has been making artists millionaires in the process”, he said.

King Sunny Ade described the Koko Master, D’ Banj and Yemi Sax who will perform along with him during the special show as young Nigerian musicians with appreciable following, saying that they will jointly give their fans a memorable night.

The Glo Evergreen series is a special music concert packaged by Globacom to honour outstanding African musicians who have contributed immensely to the
growth and development of the continents’ music industry for decades.

Globacom is collaborating with two top Nigerian companies, Guinness and Arik Air to celebrate King Sunny Ade.
