Exposed! Amaechi’s plot to secure Justice Wali’s order on Justice Agumagu’s re-appointment uncovered

The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has uncovered another plot by the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi to again hire Hon Justice Charles Wali of the Ahoada High Court to issue an order that will empower him re-appoint Honourable Justice Peter Agumagu to continue to act as Acting or a substantive Chief Judge of the State.
The PDP considers this action by the Rivers State government as irresponsible and unconstitutional, saying it will not hesitate to challenge and resist such move if he (Amaechi) goes ahead to secure the order.
The Party believes that granting such order by Hon Justice Wali will not only affirm his antecedents in issuing frivolous and controversial orders but will further heighten tension in the already tensed political atmosphere in the state as a result of Amaechi’s recklessness and stubbornness.

The Peoples Democratic Party in a statement issued by Jerry Needam, Special Adviser on Media to the State Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah, notes with disaffection the continued issuing of obnoxious orders in favour of his paymaster (Amaechi).
The Party, among series of such wrongly issued orders by Hon Justice Wali, recalled that it was same Judge that ordered the release of Chidi Lloyd, who was detained over attempted murder of Honourable Michael Chinda of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
It is regrettable that the Honourable Justice Wali has continued to act in a manner not expected of an occupant of the revered office of a High Court Judge as he is favourably disposed to the Rivers State Government’s requests for frivolous orders.
It’s same Justice Wali who issued an interim order restraining Rt. Hon Evans Bipi from parading himself as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, and also the latest of which he gave an interim injunction against the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, in Rivers State.
The Party further notes that there are over 40 of such abhorrent orders, rulings, injunctions and judgments delivered by Justice Wali which portray the judiciary in bad light and disappointing of an impartial judge he ought to be.
The Party however holds the judiciary in high esteem, but cautions Justice Wali to retrace his steps, as it shall no longer tolerate any further abuse of the law and privilege.
While reiterating that any such order must be resisted, the Party calls on Rivers people to watch out and be ready to resist such detestable judgment, orders and illegal interim injunctions by Justice Wali.
