Fayose, mum, wife, dep. gov., diverted N860m poultry fund, says EFCC

Ayo  Fayose
The embattled former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose is in the news again. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday presented some documents to Justice Adamu Hobon of Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti, to prove that Fayose, diverted N860m meant for the Ekiti State poultry projects during his tenure. The commission in its submission before the court gave an account of how Fayose allegedly diverted N860m meant for the state poultry projects recently. An official of EFCC, Mr. Abubakar Madaki, while giving evidence before the court, alleged that Feyi, wife of the former governor; his mother; and a former deputy governor of the state, Mrs. Abiodun Olujimi, were beneficiaries of the funds.
Madaki, who led the team that investigated the graft, said he discovered during investigation that only four out of the 20 poultry farms were actually ready to start business at the time.
He said, “Some of the farms were seen with either three or four pens instead of five or six pens as indicated in the document by the state government and the Biological Concepts Nigeria Limited, which handled the contract.”

Jonathan's Transport Minister, Idris Umar on spending spree: Distributes 50 SUVs, 150 bikes, doles out millions of cash to Emirs, flies private jet

Transport Minister, Umar
Minister of Transport and one of President Goodluck Jonathan's trusted aides, Idris Umar, according to reliable insiders is currently on a spending spree with tax payers money.
In fact, a recent press statement signed by Chukwuemeka Eze, raised the alarm over the spending spree of the Minister, which it alleged had assumed a frightening dimension in the past one month.
According to the statement: "Minister Umar, who hails from Gombe State, has in the past one month distributed over 50 special cars and over 150 motorcycles to politicians in his home state in addition to sharing over N50 million to them. He has also extended the largesse to the Emirs in the state in his bid to make them partisan as opposed to maintaining political neutrality as demanded by their status as royal fathers.
Besides, Minister Umar has of late been using private jets during his visits to Gombe. Our rough calculations indicate that the Transport Minister has frittered away billions of naira in his spending spree.
