M Smooth drops Winsh

MSmooth
Ahead of the official release of his latest album, Too Much Music artiste, M Smooth has dropped his new singles, Winsh and Sorry If I Worry. Taken off his yet to be released album, the songs showcased the artiste’s creative ability, as he belted out lines that could easily capture the ears and hearts of music lovers.
With Winsh, which has a quick tempo of the thumping drums and bass lines, M Smooth has made a bold statement on his plans to play big in the showbiz industry.
Winsh is a song that talks about a lady, who took total control of my life at a point in time and it was hard for me to leave because it was 'painfully' sweet; if you understand what I mean. It’s basically about control in a relationship; it could be from the male or female,” he told SHOWBIZPLUS.
On the other hand, Sorry If I Worry is a mid tempo love song that tries to portray how some lovers lose the best partners for the worst ones.
“The idea is to share my story with others about what I went through and also discourage that because when it comes to love, it should be real and sincere.”
Asked how he arrived at the title, M Smooth explained that, “it was chosen because of the story I shared. If you listen to the song, you will have the impression that I’m jealous, but I was only trying to protect my lover from getting hurt by a player. She didn't listen anyway but she was hurt at the end of the day. And it hurts a lot to see the person you truly love in that kind of situation,” he said.
To help in the publicity, videos for both singles have since been shot and are ready to hit the screen soon.
“Actually, we have released the video for Winsh online and we will be releasing the video for Sorry If I Worry early next year. You will be seeing them on the various platforms in the coming days. Honestly, I’m going to say it loud that the videos for both songs are ready and they are amazing videos; lovely, simple with great story lines. They are also very clean and very catchy and captivating. Let me stop there for now but I would like to ask my fans to watch out for them,” he boasted.
While MR. Kleb produced the songs, the videos were shot in South Africa and directed by Studio Space Pictures.
“An album for now is not in the plan; that will wait until when I make enough impact and noise that will allow me to release my debut album successfully. I have a lot of songs recorded and am still recording and my label will release the album at the appropriate time,” he said.
Already, M Smooth has produced over ten singles including Money featuring Overdose, Zdon Paporella & Lowkeyz, which was released in September 2012 and Olomoge. However, early next year will see the smooth singer drop more singles such as Stronger, Bazuka, Itoro, In Da Club Ft. Godwon, Main Tin, Taka Rawa, Soyaya and Jakulikuli.
“I’ve actually been studying the industry and also learning the ropes working very hard and smart at getting the right songs to release.
This year, I have performed at several events and notable among them is the 2 Kings Concert, which held at Eko Hotel, Lagos. I opened the concert and shared stage with the legendary Femi Kuti and 2Face Idibia.  I also performed at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) Nomination Party and African DJ Awards (AFDJ) Lagos Nomination Party. I’m currently involved in the promotion of my brand new singles,” he said.
On his assessment of the industry, M Smooth said, “the industry is getting bigger and bigger by the day and that is creating space for artistes like myself and others to express themselves musically and that shows we are growing.”
And with the growth, the business of music making has become competitive and expensive.
“I personally would like to use this opportunity to thank the media and my label Too Much Music that never gave up on me and my diehard faithful fans.  You are the reason why I’m still on fire. I’m also working on collaboration with a South African artiste; the picture will become very clear in the New Year,” he concluded.
