Lagos AGN unveils exciting packages for 2014 Week

 SHOWBIZPLUSng can authoritatively report that all is now set for the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Lagos State chapter’s awareness week dubbed: AGN Week 2014.

The week long loaded activities, according to the workaholic chairman of the chapter and famous actor, Victor Osuagwu, in a chat with us will begin on November 29 and run through December 7.

Some of the major events embedded in the AGN Week, which is already serenading the entire Nollywood include: awareness campaigns, walk for life, special medical programmes for members well being, HIV/Ebola tests/lectures.

Lagos State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) recently paid a condolence visit to Entertainment Express and Sunday Express Newspapers on the recent demise of its Associate Publisher, Pastor Dimgba Igwe.

Speaking during the solemn visit, popular actor and chairman of the chapter, Victor Osuagwu, who described the late Igwe as one of his favourite columnists, said the sad news hit them like a thunder bolt.

Nollywood actors have joined the long list of distinguished Nigerians commiserating with Express Multi Media Limited, publishers of Entertainment Express and Sunday Express Newspapers on the passing away of its Associate Publisher, Pastor Dimgba Igwe.

In a letter addressed to the Publisher, Editor, Management and Staff of Express Multimedia Limited and signed by popular actor, Victor Osuagwu, Chairman, and Valentine Agwulonu, Secretary, the Actors' Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos State Chapter, said it expressed shock on the death of the late senior journalist, author and consummate columnist.

The recent killing of Pastor Dimgba Igwe, 58, the Associate Publisher of Entertainment Express and Sunday Express Newspapers, by a hit and run driver, while jogging in his Okota, Lagos neighbourhood has continued to attract wide spread condemnations.

Some leading entertainers and celebs who spoke with SHOWBIZPLUSng paid glowing tributes to the departed veteran journalist and respected columnist. They also called on the government to immediately fish out the heart less killer of the father of four from Abia State.
